Navigation Menu
The navigation menu is just a text box containing links to all the pages of your website so that your customers can get from one page to another easily. It will appear in all four of your pages.
In Powerpoint
1. Open the Powerpoint document for your index page (remember this is located in the index_files folder)
2. Create a new text box on the left hand side of the index page and type the words ÒHomeÓ, ÒDirectionsÓ, ÒShopÓ, and ÒFAQÓ, so that each one appears on its own line.
3. You may want to separate the words even more by hitting the return button between each one.
4. Highlight the word ÒHomeÓ, then click Insert --> HyperlinkÉ
5. In the Link to: box type:
Òhttp://www.s-h-a.org/Computer_Lab/8th/xxxxx/index.htmÓ , except replace xxxxx with the name of your website folder.
6. Click OK
7. Highlight the word ÒShopÓ, then click Insert --> HyperlinkÉ
8. In the Link to: box type:
Òhttp://www.s-h-a.org/Computer_Lab/8th/xxxxx/shop.htmÓ , except replace xxxxx with the name of your website folder.
9. Click OK
10. Highlight the word ÒDirectionsÓ, then click Insert --> HyperlinkÉ
11. In the Link to: box type:
Òhttp://www.s-h-a.org/Computer_Lab/8th/xxxxx/map.htmÓ , except replace xxxxx with the name of your website folder.
12. Click OK
13. Highlight the word ÒFAQÓ, then click Insert --> HyperlinkÉ
14. In the Link to: box type:
Òhttp://www.s-h-a.org/Computer_Lab/8th/xxxxx/faq.htmÓ , except replace xxxxx with the name of your website folder.
15. Click OK
Copy links to the other pages
1.
Click on
the border of the text box containing the four links
2.
Hit Apple-C to copy the entire text box.
3.
Open up
either of the remaining pages and hit Apple-V
to paste the links into the new page
4.
Do this
for all four pages
