Make the toolbars appear
Insert a picture
Quit out of Word

 

To make the toolbars appear:
  1) Click View --> Toolbars
  2) Standard and Formatting should have checkmarks next to them. If they don't, click them.
   
   
To insert a picture (if the picture is not from the internet, skip to #3):
  1) Right-click on the picture in Firefox. (make sure you are looking at the actual picture, not a thumbnail)
  2) Click either Save Image As... and save the picture to your work folder or Save to Desktop.
  3) Locate the picture file in your folder or on the desktop
  4) Open up a Word document and then move it off to the side so that you can see both the picture file and the Word document at the same time
  4) Drag the picture file into the Word document
   
   
To quit out of Word:
  1) Hold down the Apple button (aka the Command button) on your keyboard and press the letter Q
  OR
  2) In the menu bar, click on Word --> Quit Word
   
 
** DO NOT just close the toolbars. This does not quit out of the program.
