Kristina
Hoban, (class of '98) a Junior hitter for University
of San Diego High School volleyball team was named the September
19, 2000 San Diego Union/Tribune athlete of the week for her
performance in the Fall Classic Tournament championship. Kristina
was also named most valuable player of the tournament.
Genoa P.
Grosch (class of '91)recently graduated from The
College of the Holy Cross. She was named Patriot league softball
pitcher of the year three out of her four years at Holy Cross.
She was also received Most Valuable Player of the Patriot League
her junior year. In high school, she was named softball all
CIF Player of the year twice, most valuable player in softball
(junior and senior year) and volleyball (junior year) at University
of San Diego High School.
Stephen
W. Grosch (class of '97) was awarded the Bishop T.
Maher Award for outstanding Junior at University of San Diego
High School. He also received the El Cid Writers Award. In
1999 he received the Bishop T. Maher Award as outstanding Sophomore.
He was elected ASB Vice President for the 2000-2001 year.
Tina Mesquita('97),
Lauren Ognibene('97), Ashley Megellan,('97) Megan Pratt('97),
and Kristina Hoban('98), all playing for
University of San Diego High School varsity girls volleyball
team won the San Diego Section Division III championship on

S. Silva (class of '94) of San Diego, a freshman
in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern
University,
has been named to the Dean's List for the spring quarter of
the 1998-99 academic years.
