Confronting the Challenges of Bullying
While some conflict between children is normal, bullying is an
increasingly common and destructive problem that requires wise
and skillful intervention from adults.
The American Medical Association defines bullying as “repeated

victim’s apparent distress. While bullying can happen “in-person,”

text messages. This is called cyber-bullying. Click here to read the entire article.
Earlier this year, President Obama challenged high schools across the county to compete against each other in the second annual "Race to the Top” educational success program for the chance to have him give the commencement address at their graduation. Why Sacred Heart Academy?
From one of our SHA Families ~
Why consider choosing Sacred Heart Academy for your child's education?
One of our recent SHA alumni students who now attends Point Loma High School took an entrance math exam so that the student could be placed in the appropriate math curriculum. The family learned that the student made it into advanced geometry. The Point Loma High School counselor said that the SHA student had one of
the highest scores for this particular test that was administered by the school.
The student and the family were thrilled! And, for as difficult as math can be for this student,
she was prepared well at SHA and performed accordingly.
