Preschool Director - Gabriela Vieira

My name is Gabriela Vieira. I am the Sacred Heart Academy Preschool Director. I am a San Diego native, raised in Point Loma. I am full Portuguese and am very involved with the community.

I have my AA degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently enrolled in school studying for my BA and teaching credential.  I originally wanted to be a Spanish high school teacher. Once I became pregnant with my first son, I changed my major to child development and became a preschool teacher. I have been in the classroom for five years and have worked with ages two to five years of age. I am specialized in early childhood special needs children. I have an incredible passion for teaching and really enjoy this age group.

I have a son and daughter who make each day special for me. They inspire me to be a good role model. They mean the world to me.

I have played soccer my whole life. This includes club, high school, and college level soccer. I also played badminton in high school and college. I am also proud to be one of the founders of the Point Loma High school girls’ field hockey program. I am an avid surfer. I love all music. I play the clarinet and piano. My goal is to learn how to play the guitar.

It is a true blessing to be a part of Sacred Heart Academy and I am happy to be part of the team.
