6th Grade -
Philip Burow
Mr. Burow was born in Glendale California and graduated from
Cresenta Valley High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree
at San Diego State University in Psychology. Mr. Burow attended Sierra Nevada College to earn his teaching credential. Past jobs include work with emotionally disturbed children, electrical at Coors Amphitheater, Cox Arena, S.D.S.U.'s open air theater and many Del Mar Fairs. As an educator, he has taught 4th and 5th grade students in Reno and taught in the middle school briefly at Harborside school downtown. Mr. Burow began teaching at Sacred Heart Academy in 2002 teaching math and science and loves it.
Mr. Burow's wife Dina is a high school math teacher, who also teaches at S.D.S.U..
His son enjoys playing waterpolo and building Legos. He and his family live in Imperial Beach where they spend as much time at the beach as possible. Mr. Burow's enjoys surfing,
golfing, and playing the piano. "I am very excited to be here.
The staff is great to work with, the parents are very supportive,
and the students want to learn."
