Welcome to Sacred Heart Academy of Ocean Beach - San Diego, California. Our school is the Catholic parochial school of Sacred Heart Parish of Ocean Beach. The school serves students, both Catholic and non-Catholic, in kindergarten through eight grade. Sacred Heart Academy exist to educate students in the message of Jesus Christ in the Catholic tradition, and to nurture sound scholastic abilities in the academic subject areas through the Core Knowledge Curriculum.

Sacred Heart Academy has distinguished itself as a hallmark of excellence in Catholic education. Our school was the first Core Knowledge school in the state of California. Through the adoption of the Core Knowledge curriculum we are able to offer our students a challenging classical education.

Our school has a population of approximately two hundred students with one class at each grade level. Because we are a small school, we are truly a family. With a professional, dedicated staff and strong parent participation in the educational process, we provide the nurturing necessary to ensure that every child is treated as a very special person at Sacred Heart Academy.
